(Firstly, mods, please do not move this to scale models. It is hopefully of more interest to Porsche fans than people who like general scale models!)

So...let's see those toy or model Porsches in your collection! There's some great models out there, be interested to see what people have got. My mouse is hovering over the "buy it now" on this...

...so I can pinch the wheels off it and add to this...

...and end up with a model of my own car (profile pic).

In the meantime, here's my radio control GT3 RS, from Aldi, for £8.99!

Over to you...

Here's some of one I was given by my girlfriend's now-late grandfather. He had a collection of models (as well as a collection of historic real lorries - see here) and gave me this one for Christmas 2013. It didn't look that special, no manufacturer on the box etc, and looked odd but I wondered if it was maybe from when it was a design concept and after a bit of research that seems to be the case. I don't know if that makes it rare, but I like the fact it's distinctive - it looks like a Boxster, but isn't, but is a real Porsche.

Apologies for the poor phone pics - the lighting wasn't good but I don't like using flash.

What a great idea for a thread!

With the snow a foot deep here in Sweden and the car resting until it melts, building models and browsing diecast sites to spend money on keeps me steeped in Porsche. I'm a terrible model builder, I started again a few months ago after not having touched the things since I was 12.

I'm halfway through a 3.0 RS at the moment. Anyone else doing anything like this?

My first attempt was the Tamiya GT3. Afraid I made a complete hash of it, but knew what I'd done wrong. Next attempt was a Supra and generally, quite happy with how it turned out. Probably 30 hours to build that. Currently on a 959 and only got engine complete, at 12 hours already. Sorry it's not a Porsche, but a pic of the Supra.

^ I think you may have missed the point here fella. We'll let you off if you remove that Supra and post your 959 engine instead...

Here is mine it's an Auto art 996 gt2 1:18 scale

Not sure why it looks a bit wonky in the last pic, but all good in real life smile It was originally in silver but had it resprayed in the correct black. After that went to the place who did my Martini stripes and asked them to reproduce them in 1:18 scale along with front and rear number plates smile

and how she looks in real life:

Came close to owning one a few years ago. Once I realised I missed the boat, bought this when over at the Ring.

I have a stack of 1:43 Minichamps models all boxed up - waiting patiently for when I have a garage/man cave to show them off in.
