Morning all. Just a follow up on a previous post

My Skoda superb tdi 130 has had the engine light on for the duration ive owned the car. P19586 which if you clear it, will come back after 25 odd miles

I was accelerating yesterday and the car hesitated and went into limp mode. Restarted and all OK again until later in the day. The code was p17965 which is positive deviation

Ive always noticed the car isn't as powerful as it should be

i have also had to replace the egr due to being clogged

Does this sound like sticking vains or a bad actuator?

I have ordered some revive for the car

Always google a fault code.

The main code is for boost pressure deviation, and in this case, positive deviation, which is boost too high.

That might be more due to sticking vanes as vacuum problems usually mean less boost, but it's worthwhile checking the vaccum hoses, and maybe changing the N75 valve which is the solenoid that controls the vacuum and actuates the turbo.

If you can get to the actuator on the turbo, try pressing the lever to check it can move. It will be stiff, but you should be able to push it.

Last time I had sticking variable vanes it came up as P0234.
There are a few things to try before replacing the turbo (Eurocar parts do these Turbos for under £200 exchange).
If the turbo is at the front of your engine its much easier to try these below, if its at the back of the engine its hard to get to.

N75 has been replaced. I will try the actuator later
