O2 Shepherds Bush Empire

Anyone able to advise on what this venue is like and how easy it is to get back from late at night?

I am toying with coming down to weeknight gig end of April, but would need to travel down from Scotland so likely involving cheapest possible return flight to Stansted or Heathrow and one night stay at chain type hotel nearby.

I love it, very "compact".

Not far from Shepherds Bush Tube so easy to get to Paddington and on to Heathrow. Plenty of Hotels nearby too (and around Paddington)

It's a very "intimate" venue. You'll be out before the last tube so could head back to Heathrow to stay in a hotel near there, or book something around Paddington area and then hop on the Heathrow Express in the morning. Stansted is a bit of a pain as you'll have to get the tube to either Tottenham Hale or Liverpool St and then take the Stansted Express which takes about 40 mins or so.

Agree with this but depending on where you're staying Shepherds Bush Market might be the better tube back to Heathrow via Hammersmith, or even walk down to Hammersmith. Its not too far.

Shepherds Bush has loads of places to eat/drink especially in the Westfield complex but I'm sad to sorry/not sorry to say that the Walkabout next door shut down yonks ago.
