PH Knowledge, Assemble!

I crossed an interesting car last night, which I can't say I've even seen before.

I have a feeling it was Japanese, but not sure.

When I first saw it, I immediately thought it looked like a cross between a Starion and a Volvo 440 (odd, I know), with a bit of Mk 1 Lotus Esprit thrown in.

Any ideas?

No, not one of them.

It looked like a Nissan Z of some sort, but a lot more 80's - squared-off bumpers etc, and I'm sure it had pop-up lights.

Almost as vague as my GF...

her: I followed a really nice car on the way home today
me: What was it?
her: A sports car!
me: what kind?
her: It was silver
me: ah yes, the silver ones, they are really good!

No, not actually a Starion, just a little like it.

Rear lights were of this sort of style, but the car was more boxy, but of a similar coupe shape to the earlier Zs

Did it definitely have no front arches?

That red car is a Supra not a Starion.

Not one of them - more boxy. The rear bumper was a solid colour coded bar across the back of the car - like it had been attached with No More Nails.
