You canot beat bare copper wire hanging around then you put tape around them
To make sure there as close to one another as possible

Actually crimps are better than soldering, so long as they're done correctly.

Theory being that the solder causes the cable to be more vulnerable to fatigue. It's why all motorsport and aeronautical joints/terminals are crimped rather than soldered.

Can't say I've seen many soldering irons around aircraft fuel tanks, engine bays, other hidey holes...... (pull up a sandbag and I'll tell you a story young 'un)

They use RR classic wiring loom and cable ties as well

Now, you see, you missed the the sandbag bit. I'm not talking pansy 747 stuff (wouldn't that be fibre optic?) I'm talking real heavy British classics here. From the 60s and 70s a proper aeroplane.
