Ok, so as expected every single test driver has placed the La above the P1. Who is going to lick my lemons or argue their case for the McLaren. Dredge my helmet and weep losers.

Who honestly gives a fk?

They're both amazing cars, right at the peak of tech, fast as hell and both look great in their own ways (they're ugly but stunning at the same time).

The incessant need to compare and then insult people who are fans of the one you don't like the most is a 12 year olds mentality. Sort your life out.

Especially as the only place either car can show its pace is on a race track - where(inconvenient truth alert ) both would be blown away by any relatively modern single seater .

I see little point in comparing the 918 / P1 / LaF - it's lovely to watch a video detailing the differences.

What I found incredible was the lap times in CH's video between the 918, F12 and 458 speciale. Not that much between them!

If I were to buy one I would get the P1.

This doesn't make it better though just that I prefer mclaren to Ferrari for this purpose

As road cars, they are all similarly limited by there tyres and by the regulations you are required to meet. Hence all three cars were always going to be separated by mear tenths of seconds in reality!

Unfortunately, Ron Dennis started it when he claimed the P1 would go sub 7 minutes and "break all the records."

So inevitably as he's a bit awkward many will find shadenfraude in his statement. I get that he hates Ferrari (his right I suppose) but it's like Alex Ferguson only ever arguing with Jose Mourinho. They get so wrapped up in this battle for supremacy it detracts from the team/company as a whole and then makes the whole place look foolish.
