I've been given a Gunson Digimeter 320 but it doesn't have any instructions. It looks like it might be a useful bit of kit if I ever have to work on an older car. Does anyone have any idea how to use it?!

Did you get any leads with it?

You should have two leads with it, if not there quite widely available, try Maplins, other than that its fairly self explantory, if you dont know what any of the text or symbols mean then maybe you should leave maintenance and repairs to someone else.

Loads of online info re Multimeters. Mine didn't come with instructions either.
I've 2 sets of leads, normal probes and a set with crocodile clips which I find quite useful. Amazon sell them.

Unless someone's got a manual they can copy for you be an idea to contct Gunson & see what they can do. I'm a bit surprised it doesn't feature as quite a few instruction manauls for their older products are available here:

A quick Google using the heading 'Gunson Digimeter 320' does give a few sites that claim to have downloadable instructions, but you'd need to try those for yourself!

Normal leads for the left side of the dial and an inductive pick up for the right hand side.

Basically.

Not sure why you think it’ll only work on an older car
Old imperial volts compared to these new fangled metric volts perhaps.

Still not sure if someone who doesn’t know what a meter is should be messing with electrics.
