The amount of cars going to auction to be sold??

Is it me or does there appear to be a lot of cars being advertised for sale using the auction company route lately?

Seems dealers are using this option to move cars.

As dealers we always have. Most bigger groups, and some independents, have a stock policy, whether it be 60 days, 90 days or whatever, where they cut their losses and move the car on. Some groups swap their stock around their garages at their 60/90 days and credit the supplying dealer with cap clean, so the car goes to the new garage at proper money but others send them straight to auction and move on.
