Hi All,
I hope you can help me.
I have a 2001 996 CAB and when the roof is down the part that has emergency roll cage bits has faded in colour because of the sun I assume and is much lighter in colour than the rest of the soft top.
What can I do to correct this? Is there a special paint/dye that I could buy to paint over it? I am guessing I would need to paint the whole roof to match them all together.
All your advice is greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
Andy

Eeek, sounds like a specialist job. I imagine they use a special dye, but not a DIY undertaking probably, as it will probably have a sealer sprayed on as well. Oh, and don't use Dulux!
Do a search on the web for hood refurbing specialists. There are plenty of them, some advertise in Porsche Post. They could advise, and recommend best course of action (recolouring or even retrimming).

i used a product called Renovo on my boxster hood.
think it was £30 for a litre. You paint it on and it dries in an hour. Quite good results, and definately cheaper than a new hood!
