I had to top my coolant up about 6 weeks ago only half a litre topped it to bang on cold fill.
Got in the car a few days ago and it was parked nose down at the pub, and coolant warning come up.
Not moved it last few days but level took 3/4 of a litre to make back to cold fill.

not had time or weather to have a look properly yet . any common places I should look for or do they simply use a bit now and again.
Or do you think parking nose down made it go down the overflow was raining the other day so couldn't see if it was coolant or rain.

The plastic end tanks on the rad are prone to splitting, that's where mine went (passenger side by one of the fan mounts), if yours still has the original rad there's a fair chance it could be that.

Is yours a 5.7 or a 6.0? On the 6 litres which have radiator caps I find they go quite often.

When I'm tracing leaks sticking your head under the bonnet just after you've turned it off can often help you locate the leak, as you'll either hear the air sucking in or see a puddle appearing.

Since ownership (16,800 miles) I find I need to change rad caps approx every 15,000 miles. Monkfish always have supply of these.
