Painting the rear bumper and rebuilding a 5.0L

Hi all,
As on my other post, I'm currently looking for a chim and have found one locally that needs the rear bumper respraying.
I'm just wondering, is the bumper a bolt on part or part of the main body? so basically can it be painted easily without ending up with half a respray.
Another car locally that I've seen, which is in a very sorry state on a guys drive (haven't yet spoken to him) but it's a 500 and when I went to try and talk to him I noticed that it's been left with the windows down, so the foot wells are half full of water and half the engine seems to be on the back seat.
Any ideas what a rebuild on a 5L costs?

The rear bumper section is fixed to the car, any half competent painter will be able to repair and blend the paint in to the quarter panels without too much fuss.
As for the 5ltr, if you don't know what your getting in to, pass the details on Alex as maybe someone with a little more TVR experience is suited to that project. ( no offence intended, just if you're going in a little blind to potential costs you'll end up sad and broke)

Thanks, I'll see how it goes. I am pretty competent though, rebuilt a few engines before, built kits from scratch and designed most of it on the way, so the work doesn't scare me
New carpets, roof, outriggers, possible wiring damage, missing parts etc etcYou don't want that do you

I'd love to take the grand kids out with me and the wife on summer days, but have yet to find either a 4 seater Chimaera, or a convertible Cerbera.......

Oh go on Alex - Range Rover running gear (should work with the RV8 engine and an auto gear box), then stick a shed load of Duracells in the boot and away you go............you know you want to.....
