Help with car options
Discussion
Morning all,
Finally ready to move on from my MG ZR 160.
Nearly 2 years of owning and want something different to modify slightly.
I have 54 plate MG ZR 160 and some parts to sell so hoping to get around £1500 in total for a new car.
I know it's not a massive budget at all.
I am wanting a pretty quick car and something good looking.
I have thought about e36 coupe 323/325/328 as fair amount of power and RWD and look good.
I like polo 6n2 gti but don't think they're that quick.. easy to mod.
Any suggestions on what I could look out for?
Cheers

Sad you're letting go of the Zed, I've still got mine
Rover Coupe Turbos are a good place to start. When you can find one, they're around £1,500 with 200bhp standard, the Rover T-Series is reliable enough and tuneable, oil will usually seep from cam cover though, but what Rover doesn't seep oil?
Rover BRM, I know I know it's another Rover but £1,500 is Rover territory! The BRM is fun fun fun, but if you've already owned a Zed 160 I guess this would be a bit too samey?
Saab 9-3 Hatchback, 2.0 turbo, very very tuneable, rather reliable, and in the right colour, with the right wheels - they look ace!
Clio 172, not too sure on these - you need to check the cam belts been done as they're rather expensive to do (iirc??), good chassis and rather quick!
Other MG's like TF's and ZS's are a good option as well, the KV6 in the ZS is lovely, and with the body kit they look cool!!
