1. have you managed to turn them off?
2. not wise to charge a flattened battery by jump starting and driving - it needs to be charged slowly on a proper quality charger
3. only time I ever had that happen was on a Renault in 1984 in central London - a 50p rad fan bearing had failed on a brand new car, causing the rad fan to stick on the rad, and overheat the wiring. The headlights came on and stayed on when the melting wiring had melted itself onto the chassis. What I am saying is I would check the headlight wiring, as it sounds to me like something is shorting, and a fire in a GRP car may as well be in an RPG car - it only suits November 5th
Edited to add - the 50p bearing failure caused a £4,000 warranty repair bill.....on an £8,000 car.
9 years later Renault did a recall for it.....
