Yes I do actually but not in that car - in fact I rebuilt it with that or Sprint/Hillclimb in mind. But I think I've tweaked the car a bit too much. Looking under the cars at Castle Coombe the set-ups looked close to original. As far as I can tell the TR Race series insists that engine, brakes, suspension, etc are more or less to original spec. Whereas mine is all to Revington TR spec.
Other problems are the car is quite heavy now I've restored it, plus I've no trailer or indeed space to keep one. And no spare time.
From looking at the club race reports it seems that a beefed up GT6 or TR7V8 is the way to go (in the future ).

You can do almost anything in the TR Register as long as the shape is the kept very close to std. Big brakes, all steel engines, must have a full cage as over 2.0, LSD Close ratio boxes, lightening etc. Really there will be a class for it. Most likley looking at it the middle class - but could be full modified if vented brakes. Lightening is the easy bit. We are still a bit heavy (in the 6)but engine / suspension is the main things to aim at, the 4 is really pretty much as far as you can go... Don't go down the Spit / GT6 V8 route - this is why I left the TR's (just do the odd round now), the Thoroughbredsportscars is really the one you want to be looking at - all level of mods and race against some cool cars.
