eBay research suggests that 80% of Unpaid Items are generated by:
- Overseas buyers confused by postage and packaging costs
- Sellers with limited payment options
- Users with a negative feedback score
- Buyers with a history of non-payment

My wife has had all sorts, including people who have 'changed their mind' and want their money back.

She's also had Americans send her the sterling amount in dollars (ie. the item went for £20 and they send $20) and then complain about being 'ripped off' when asked to pay the shortfall.
She had one American who made an official complaint to eBay because they paid the UK shipping amount and simply could not understand that shipment to the USA fell under the category of "Rest of the World" and hence was a larger amount.
My wife has since stopped shipping to the USA.
