Hi any advice on above please , it came up when I got low on petrol , I've filled up and it seems to have gone away , vxr8 electrics ? Or some thing else ?
Car is a HSV Maloo e2

Only that if it's gone away, then it's either fine, or the bulb's blown.

All you can do, is put a code reader on it, and see if there's any faults logged. If you were really low on fuel, could one of the banks run lean for a split second?

Hi Ian , cheers for that , there was less than 10 litres in the tank , and I did a roundabout fairly quick and it must have come on after that , I filled up and it did not come back on in two miles , so I think that must be it , if it does not show again I will leave it at that , no way of code reading like the Monaro seems to ?

It must have an obd2 socket? Just get yourself a code reader, got mine for £15 from the bay of e

We get this on the new jeeps when they are low on fuel ie PDI, it brings up the EML until fuel is added.

I think the low fuel was my problem it's not done it since ,cheers for the advice , any one know if the e2 Maloo r8 is obd2 ?

It should read any car produced after 2000, when OBD became the worldwide industry standard. You can get cheaper, but they just give a code, then you have to look it up in the booklet.
