So after many months of looking and researching and waiting for the 'right' car I have finally done it and bought a DB9. It is a black 2007 model with 30k miles on it. I initially started out looking for a Vantage, but then decided the DB9 would suit my needs better as at least I could get a couple of the kiddies in the back. It is from a small independent garage and the guys were really great with the sale. The car is fantastic and I love it, the colour combo is what really sealed it for me (in addition to being satisfied with all the checks and expectations I would have with a car at this level). Hopefully looking forward to an enjoyable ownership experience. The information and advice on this site has been really helpful so cheers guys.

Sweet. It appears to be missing a gear knob, but other than that, very nice wink

LOL, Its probably located next to my pipe and slippers, seeing as I must now be a senior citizen having a DB9 rather than a Vantage biggrin

Key fob is standard Aston (Volvo) item before they went to a glass ECU. Buttons are the usual lock/unlock/boot open/lights on/panic alarm.

Yes interior is chancellor red. Looks great with the piano black inserts

You just need side skirts, clear rear lights and a black grille...

Oh! And anthracite wheels..

Hey thats nearly a snap! I'm liking all your enhancements, but the wheels aren't doing it for me. I have always liked nice bright silver wheels, especially against black paintwork. So what are the sideskirts, are they from a newer model DB9 that had a slightly more pronounced curve to them?

Manual DB9s are a rare breed and your interior looks really good with the red/black combo. Given the option I would always go two tone over monotone.

The sideskirts are from a 2013 DB9. They do give the car better lines and I think AM fitted them from around 2009/2010. The silver wheels look good when original with the diamond cut face but mine had been refurbished in plain silver and looked a bit scratchchin Cheap...

Hi and congats , looks great. I maybe missing something (probably me marbles) but both of our seats are up against the rears, Jane's particularly because she has such long legs, so how do you get anyone of any size in the back ??? I hope you enjoy yours as much as we do.

Re. Sitting in Rear Seats...
Have a look in the DB9 Manual,Chapter 15 ,subsection XXV
I quote " the rear passenger ,once having placed his bottom on the seat and fastened the seat belt, bends his / her legs at the knees and gently brings them up to their chest ".
It's really quite comfortable when you get the hang of it.

I think you've mixed up your manuals there. You seem to have quoted from the Dummies Guide for Proctologists.
