My Dad's in hospital with a clot on the lung...
, But should be out by the end of the week
.
He's late 60s, plenty of get up and go, loves the garden, sailing, out and about, and just finished building a garden bench, however, although not house bound, he'll be on 'light duties' for a few weeks at least.
Can anyone suggest anything model (or other) wise that I can get him as a bit of a distraction? I'm trying to avoid anything that makes too much dust, paint glue etc for both his lungs and so my Mum will let him do it in the house!
Technical Lego has crossed my mind, but was thinking something a bit more classic that he could appreciate once it has been made?
Any thoughts much appreciated.

I would think that most kinds of modelling will be out of the question because of solvents? Ask your GP before you give him an Airfix kit that he can't glue together!
How about Meccano? No painting or glueing and some challenging "kits"
