996 Turbo - front bumper / headlight gap
Discussion
If it lines up correctly at the wheelarch the bumper is fitted properly. But you could also remove the plastic trim on the slam panel (only a coin or broad bladed screwdriver needed, 90 degree turn only) and check that the screws retaining the bumper up there are secure.
If they are then all is well.
Yes the gap can seem large but you also have the bonnet to align to so if that is right... it's right.
Unless of course there is something wrong with the headlamps which is not very likely as they are either in place or popped out.

Thanks for that, yes it all likes up perfectly just never remember seeing an actual gap under the headlight between bottom edge of headlight and bumper , not huge but just noticed it !
Here's a pic of my 03 Turbo on the lot before I bought it (used in 2009).
Have to admit that gap you mentioned jumped out at me one day and I had the car back to the dealer to ask if the bumper was not installed correctly after having the car in earlier for service at which time the bumper cover was removed then reinstalled.
It was installed correctly and as the tech talked to me I calmed down and realized the gap was ok.
