Alfa 166, any experts?

Hi guys,
the nav on my 2001 166 is playing up, the radio along with the phone functions all work but when I try the nav I get this message (see image), I input the ICS supplied with the car but still no luck? I appreciate the sat nav is as old as the hills but it would be nice to have it working

Sorry if it's a stupid question, but did it used to work and it has now stopped working, or are you trying to activate one that you don't know whether it works or not?

it did work and now doesn't, wonder if the battery was disconnected for MOT for some reason

The reason I asked the question earlier was because I bought a 166 several years ago and the nav wasn't working.

We eventually found that there was a cable missing behind a panel in the boot. Maybe worth looking to see that there aren't any cables loose?
