slider for time lapse

Any tips on doing this on the cheap?

I have not bought a slider yet. looking for some suggestions.

At the most basic level - all you need is a cable release with a timer function. I got one off ebay relatively cheaply a couple of years back and it works great.

http://www.instructables.com/ has loads of DIY tutorials on how to make sliders of various shapes and sizes

Thankyou so much for that link my old man has a telescope with a motor. Off to have a look and see if it's working.

I started looking into it.

Before I knew it I had a dynamic perception stage zero slider and had added an emotimo TB3 and upgraded motor... I'm not checking the bank balance...

I bought the slider used in NZ for a reasonable price.

The TB3 came from emotimo new from the US cost a bomb.
