Baby chair ywith a Sports bucket seat

Obviously Iso-fix not an option but has anyone had any success getting a nipper in a Sports bucket seat, is a baby seat held in with the seat belt? Would only be for short (ish) journeys, when a more praticual vehicle not available?

991 GT3 have a specific warning against carrying child seats in the sports bucket seats.
