Which clutch kit?

Hi All

I'm going to get the transmission refurbished over the next couple of months. The clutch seems absolutely fine on mine, but the car has done 80k miles and I have no idea if it has changed before. I thought I might as well get a clutch fitted whilst the gearbox is out.

It's a standard 93 4.0.

Any recommendations on which kit is best? I don't have any intentions of power upgrades in the future, but if I do sell I dont mind paying a BIT more for an updated version that will give the new owner some options. Not crazy money for one rated at 1000bhp though

I bought the AP Racing one as fitted to the 5.0 from Clever Trevor as it was only very slightly more expensive than the standard Rover one.

What you're linking to there are Helix clutches not AP

Does the car have the rover box or the T5? My late 93 had the rover box. Not sure if the clutch is universal?

Thanks guys. Good point about the Rover box, yes mine has this one (LT77) fitted. I think the clutch is universal?

Ok, well the one I bought was a similar price, from Clever Trevor, and it was definitely AP, as it had it written on the clutch plate.

I purchased a complete Clutch kit for my 4.0ltr including pressure release bearing from JOHN EALES, at very reasonable price. He is a well known engine builder and operates his business from barns outside his house.

Mr Eales has a fantastic history as a V8 Rover Engine builder/tuner. I am not an advertiser for him, but I purely respect his in depth knowledge of the V8 ENGINE and personal experiences.
