Hi peeps. Took delivery of my GTS late last year. Very much enjoying it, (can't wait for the weather to improve).

I had a 981 Cayman S before the GTS and that came with a cargo net in the rear boot.

Can anyone with a GTS confirm whether this is an option or std kit?

They do not have them as standard and they can be bought from OPC for £58 including VAT. If you are in PCGB you get 10% discount off parts.

Wrong shape unfortunately - but there is the odd one on eBay which is the right shape. Probably not the same quality - but not £66 either!

I use one from Halfords - now £10, was £8 when I bought last year. Slightly too big but works fine with all the hooks

This one should be a better fit https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/90CM-30CM-Rear-Trunk-Ca...tongue outf:0 - but you will have to wait a while for it to come from China. I've ordered one myself but haven't got it yet so cant comment on quality. Looks very like the official Porsche one.

I need one for my GT4 but would rather pay the extra for a genuine one because those alternatives look pants IMO.

I can only say I couldn't tell the difference between the one on ebay and the one I had in my Cayman from the picture. Of course it may be poorer quality but I can't see what you are seeing in the picture. The Halfords one IS very different I'd agree. Porsche (and they are not the only ones) habitually overcharge for identical goods just because they come in a Porsche box. You can get a C-Tek battery charger at one price from Porsche, another from C-Tek and, on occasion from Aldi all made in the same factory to the same specification - but vastly different prices.

When I bought my 2007 SEAT Ibiza I purchased a MK1 Leon net, I have since used it in MK2 Leon and MK3 Leon.

Happy to report its the correct size for my 981 Cayman S as well.

Have now received my cargo net. Although it's a bit different in construction to the one in my Cayman, the quality is on a par and absolutely fine. £10 instead of the Porsche list price of £66!
