Looking for a project

Evening all.

Having owned a Griff500 a few years ago and having to reluctantly sell, I am now in the position to buy another TVR. This time I want something a little different.

I have just secured a Chimaera shell, and am looking for a doner car. So something that is mechanically poorly, lightly fire damaged, crashed (with a good chassis) or such.

Whilst the body is off, I really want to do a full chassis up refurb, and the master plan is to go LS at the same time.

So if anybody has a suitable doner, then please get in contact.

I will of course be on here a lot looking for advice.

First questions! I believe the body is a '98. What are the differences I should look out for with the doner?

The car has a 4 headlight conversion. What lights will I need to fit? preferably high output LED.

you should keep your eyes peeled on copart website or similar crashed car auction site to get one one the car before the rip off merchant gets his hands on it.

I have never tried Copart Mr Supercharged. Thanks for the info. I do belong to another salvage website, and have actually bid against 'the rip off merchant', I am pretty sure I know who you mean. He seems to pay what ever is necessary to win the auction. Within a couple of hours the cars appear on Ebay. He cannot of even looked at them in that time, and he even uses the salvage auction website pictures! If it wasn't for him bidding whatever it takes on every car, I am pretty sure I could have picked up a salvage car at a fair price.

Anyway the search continues. Mark.
