Decided to give my 3R a run into Birmingham to work this morning - got into my normal car park was turning into my space and ---------- all of a sudden engine stalled and it took me about 3 minutes of popping and banging at the back to start again --- any ideas ??
I am hoping I can actually get out of there tonight and get it home in one piece !!!!

Does it stop happening when you turn the aircon off?
is it just me or a few of us hijacking peoples threads which are of a serious nature for the sake of crap humour !
I had some issues with stalling when I first got mine. My dealer sorted it very easily. The stalling would happen if I had the aircon on. The dealer simply raised the idle speed and I've never had the problem since. I hope this helps.

It can sometimes happen that the extra load of the A/C and the PAS at the same time can cause the car to stall. In that situation, they are easy to flood and if they don't restart immediately as you crank, floor the throttle. There is a de-choke function in the calibration that when cranking with the throttle fully depressed, the ECU will not fire the injectors. After a few seconds of cranking, if it had flooded, it'll clear and fire right up.
Hope that helps.
