Where do people buy fresh oragono from? And if you can grow it in the UK is it hardy like thyme and rosemary or are you lucky to see a few weeks like basil?

I grow Oregano in the garden - and it is pretty hardy - more like chives / thyme / rosemary.

I have over wintered one of my plants in a green house, as I didn't think it will survive the cold - but the one left outside is fine.

I planted mine from seed.

Same as above planted from seeds, I have brought the oregano and a few others in though for winter.

I got the seeds from ebay a few years ago for a round a quid!

I struggled with oregano last year, other herbs in the same bed had been fine.

Aldi have got fresh growing Oregano in a nice terracotta pot at the moment for £2.99. Bought one last week.
