Unusual Bonnet problem

The funniest thing has happened to my Chim 500 - the moulded cross brace under the bonnet has come away from the bonnet top - resulting in the bonnet top now sporting a much more "curved" appearance in the middle - rather Tuscan like, and now sits higher than it did before.

The cross brace is still attached at all 4 corners but has pulled away from about 10 inches in, leaving a gap of about 1.6 inches between the centre of the cross brace and bonnet top. The cross-brace looks like it is still in the original position

The funny thing is it looks BETTER!

However I don't know if this will cause any sort of under-bonnet problem (heat dissipation / flow etc).

I would be really interested to know if this has happened to anyone else and if so how did they fix it?

I would imagine that the cross-brace was bonded to the bonnet top originally and that this bonding agent gave way to a certain degree.
