Sort of related... 0-60 times have disappeared from the iPad app for Autotrader. Well annoying.

There's certainly some problem with that filter, which is especially annoying when you want a 4.2 V8 and you have to trawl though a bunch of dirty oil burners as well!!!

They probably dropped it because no-one searches for petrol now.

Except me. I'm after a petrol estate and it's not easy.

That is strange. And annoying. I don't tend to use ebay for cars in fairness but I'm sure that will annoy a lot of people that do!!

I have also noticed various 0-60 and other information missing on autotrader but assumed they were having technical problems. Maybe not.

No fuel filter? That could cause catastrophic damage.

I noticed this yesterday, very annoying as it clogs up the results with lots of nasty oil burners. I can't understand why they would remove such a basic and important bit of functionality like that confused.

How annoying.

I really wish they all had better filters though.

As an example for reasons of business mileage rates I want a >2l petrol but autotrader only has a filter of 2-2.5l which of course includes all the 2 litre cars.

You can't even do a roundabout search by VED as it also has "Up to 300" which of course is nearly all the bands!

I tried to use the fuel filter feature a few days ago on the mobile app and out of ~600 card, around 450 of them had been moved to the "Not Applicable" category - it might be they're now hiding the feature to unbreak it.

Autotrader.co.uk also dropped power filter. How fking nanny state like is that st eh? Go to any respected European site like mobile.de autoscout24.de autoscout24.com autoscout24.ch and they all allow you to slice and dice the way you want. But noooooo autofkingtrader has none of that. And why would they, cars hurt planet earth and children (especially those on school runs)

Maybe reducing the number of filters improves the performance of their database and website, and maybe they monitored which filters were used least and removed them.

Yep, it's depressing really frown. Take my car on Autotrader for example, Audi A6 up to 9 years old - 758 cars of which 12 are petrols (1.58%), 8 of those 4-pots, the remaining 4 V6s (0.264%) and not a V8 to be found (0%). Sad times indeed.

Maybe no. It's 2015. Scaling is not an issue anymore. Appeasing certain crowds is.

There's some twisted sales/advertising logic behind it.

They've also removed lpg and electric which seems a little daft.

They've left a filter for classic or modern though. Whatever that means. Who defines it as classic, eBay, the seller or the buyer?
