Been looking through the various adds and surprised to see so few E36 M3's about especially anything nice low miles etc... Does this mean a price rise...? like the Z3M Coupe's... yikes

Well it's winter. And remember these cars are around 20 years old so even 100k (5k a year) would be low mileage!

Prices haven't gone up that much though...

Mines in the garage. Might start it up this afternoon if I finish cleaning the E90. New front wings being fitted plus a wheel refurb soon. Think this will be the final year I keep her as just too busy these days to look after two cars.

Usually 20 or so for sale on PH over summer. The earliest cars are approaching 17 years old so anything under 80000 miles is getting rarer. Although low mileage on car this age normally means a bigger money pit as nothing has been replaced.

I think most of us have them in hibernation for fear of dirt / moisture getting near them haha smile.

Prices do seem to be going up though.

Mine was absolutely sh*te. Sounded good and was alright-ish in a straight line.

My E46 M3 was a million times better though.

Wouldn't say they are bad, I had a 98 evo cab but just never really enjoyed driving it, had a 325tds at same time and loved it,explain that one! Now got E46's [330d & M3 cab] difference with E36 is chalk and cheese, they are so different. E36 M3 has got to be a good investment if you get a good one, especially 4door?argue

Where are all the E36 M3's???

Mine has been SORN for 2 years. weeping

And wont be going anywhere any time soon until I finish the body work.

I would say more E36 M3's have been broken for parts than turned into track cars though..

I spotted a very unassuming add last year for a 1999 unmolested one owner,60K FSH Evo Convertible in Dakar, spoke to the retired gent over the phone for best part of an hour and a sale was agreed and I certainly wasn't disappointed when I collected it,lovely car... He said he could have sold it several times some one offering more money for it... that now sits next to my ZM Coupe in the same colour... cloud9

That sounds like a great find! Always remember a local chap who bought a brand new Dakar M3 Covertible back in the day and was setting off top down on a nice sunny day, remember just staring at it thinking what a lovely machine,You just don't see many really clean E36 M3's on the road now.
