Any opinions on this 997 turbo

Looks like good value. Maybe the interior is a bit marmite. Any opinions on car or dealer welcome.

Looks like cocoa leather to me, not tobacco as the ad states. Against GT silver (not sure if this car is that colour or arctic silver) it's quite a nice combination, despite not looking like it in their photos (using a flash for interior shots is never a good idea IMO).

Yes definitely cocoa. Probably a lot darker in reality. I will go and have a look at it next week if its still around. If everything stacks up what do you think in terms of valuation?

Yes seems keenly priced which has me a little suspicious (probably wrongly). I am going to look at it tomorrow afternoon if its still available. If its a straight car I will be tempted.

Seems 2 or 3k too cheap but maybe they priced keenly because of cocoa leather, as others have said it looks much better in real life but it wouldn't be for me (and tip would be a showstopper too)

But if that doesn't put you off go for it, they are fantastic cars

Even if it looks okay send it to a good indy or opc to properly check it out after you have a look at it. I think the trade on that car is £35k so its been priced correctly. So easy to get large bills on these. Send it to 9e afterwards for a quick dose of vitamins

I really like the interior, have seen it in the flesh (the colour not the car) and think it works really well, a welcome change from the usual black

Buy the car not the dealer. Easy enough to send that car to OPC for 111 inspection and stick am OPC warranty on it. Its a tip so shouldn't be overreved etc. main thing is accident chassis damage and an OPC should (in theory) be able to check all of this when they get her up on a ramp.

Sensible advice. I've also been looking at a couple of cars from said dealer, both of which I could add official warranties too. I suppose it may be worth getting the OPC inspection/ warranty on it BEFORE you buy it, just in case there's issues present already or the service history doesn't work. Good luck, it looks a corking motor if it's as described.....just £5k out of budget for my dream car

True, but inspections don't always turn up issues and I'd prefer a reputable dealer I can go back to should the worst arise.

I once had a engine gasket go on a newly acquired low mileage 993C4 spraying oil all over the engine, the dealer covered it as a goodwill gesture.

If you have an issue at a dubious dealer you've on your own.

If he checks history, old mots, invoices, panel gaps and paint finish himself and then drives the car and likes it any reputable Indy or OPC can then go over the car with a fine tooth comb afterwards. I think your experience with 993 4 is typical of any dealers aftercare service. Car looks a low mileage beauty on the face of it.

I agree with you 100%.

You may buy the car but you also have to buy the dealer if you want to rely on any after sale service that may be required.

If the dealer doesn't matter why doesn't the OP buy the one at Motor Hub for £34,995 and save himself £5k.

But as we know not all dealers deliver the same aftercare service. Issues on used cars do happen, some of which won't be picked up in a check. It's a risk you may take, but I'd prefer to have piece of mind.

It may look like a beauty on the face of it, but it's what's under the skin that really matters.

I've bought from both Portiacraft, RSJ and had great aftersales service and I'd look at Virgin 911. But there are a number of dealers I just wouldn't entertain because of their reputation.

No rights or wrongs just preferences.

The Ad appears to be written by a Retard, who has no ability to spell/punctuate/use capital letters etc. (in addition to listing as options standard "features" such as four seats . . Nah ? really ? , four wheel drive . . sorry, believe they all have that , right hand drive. . wow, that is rare

Maybe it's just me, but I find that sort of thing always rings alarm bells when choosing who to do "business" with.
