Yes its nice.
Yes its had a full re-build
Its White underneath
But its still a 1984 pre G50 cab and no way can be worth this amount of any fools money, surely?
You can get a lot of Pork for £65k

Mines is miles better than that and a completely original car to boot. Thinking about selling my Carrera to make way for something else I have my eye on. In fact Dick Lovetts red 1989 Carrera Coupe similar to mine sold recently for £75k but no sports seats no short shift or LSD on theirs.
Mines a 1989 Black Carrera Sport Coupe with black sports seats. Factory short shift and LSD. Rare 9 inch fuchs rear alloys ordered from factory with still the original anodised finish. Valves with proper valve caps. Widgets on windscreen wipers. If thats the best Carrera in the world I actually think mines better lol with a genuine 67k miles, zero rust and all original panels. Neil Dickens at Hairpin has sold my car 2 or 3 times I think on the last occasion to Michael Lavers who owns Silver Arrows.
If that wobbly cab is £65,000 mines £80,000 lol

At this rate our Turbos will be worth 2.2M when people realise the value you get in comparison!
This is it, totally agree I'd much rather drive the turbo. Mind you I'm on me 3rd!! Is it me or is the bonnet/bumper shutline awful, the engine cover on the OS not much better, the rear window all crinkled, the glovebox door hanging off and the stereo wiring install decidedly amatuer?
As a 986 driver I have no idea of this is all part of the air-cooled magic, or just a badly prepared car...
