Now you've gone and ruined it!

which of your favourite tunes have been ruined & why?
e.g. The Chain, Fleetwood Mac. Great tune, especially the end. But of course someone else thought that too & decided it would be great for F1. So now if I'm out driving with it playing, I turn it down in traffic in case a pedestrian hears it and thinks 'look at that d
head in the Noble, he thinks he's a formula one driver'

That's tough that one, couldn't possibly be the same again. You have my sympathy.....they played it at my nephew's funeral (he was 23)
How's about that frog ruining the Axel F music?

Two spring to mind,
1, "Comfortably Numb" done by "The Scissor Sisters"

2, "Wish you were here" slaughtered by Susan Boyle

Different strokes for different folks. I find Pink Floyd worse than mumps, but really like the Scissor Sisters' version.1, "Comfortably Numb" done by "The Scissor Sisters"

The big one for me was Whitney's way over the top cover of Dolly Parton's wonderfully subtle "I will always love you".
Madonna trumped it when she crucified Don Maclean's American Pie though.
And Lana Del Rey's version of Once Upon A Dream is just creepy. Beautiful, sultry voice but the song done her way is just creepy.
I once heard a truly horroble dance mix of Wuthering Heights and was wondering what clueless plonker had desecrated that holy ground when the DJ came on and credited the version to Kate Bush herself! Ouch.
