Up at 6:30am on a dry Saturday morning. Roads are empty. Long week at work over. Buggered up a perfect opportunity for an early morning blast with 3 glasses of wine last night. Too early to drive! frown

Lesson (re)learned!

Not all bad though...Off to the England match later with my boys.

Glasses or bottles? Isnt a whole bottle only circa 8 units and that's about 8 hours to process ?

That said, I fully respect your caution.

The way my luck has been this weekend, a wine gum would have seen me over the limit!

three glasses would not have been in your system to any adverse amount thats for sure. what time did you start drinking and then what time did you end. both important.
it take roughly one hour to lose one unit and there is a one and a half units in a glass so you only had 4.5 units. BUT remember you start losing one unit per hour when you start not from when you end. if you only drink about a glass an hour you are almost keeping pace.
if you started drinking at 9pm, by midnight (3 hours)you would have already lost two of those glasses (3 hours is 3 units is two of your glasses).
by 6.30am you would have no trace at all.

as an ideq why not just leave a few of those £1 breath test kits in your car then you know. i often use them to make sure if in doubt. if you leave in the car then if you are staying somewhere you always have them.
i have two or three in every car and some in my laptop bag in case i am somewhere with a rental.
i like cars. i like wine as much. not a great combo at times.

That's both informative and useful. I've thought about the breathalyser kits. I think they are mandatory now in Europe. Maybe time to invest in a few. Living in a city I don't have to drive anywhere most days so it's never been a major inconvenience.

This weekend has been the first good weather weekend for quite a while, so a little cooped up!

Managed to get out for a run in it today and gave it a good clean. So scratched the itch in the end.
