Need some quick advice on a Speedmaster

I'm looking for some quick advice on a deal I've been offered on a Speedmaster with the 1861 movement from and AD in Europe. It's a 3594.50.00 broad arrow. I need to make a decision within the next hour.
The purchase price is EUR 2000 (approx GBP1,500) he's also offered to service my Tag Aquaracer as part of the deal.
The deal seems very good to me but I'm just so confused about all the varients of the Speedmaster. I like the size of this one but is this a good variant. It's the black face with silver bezel. Does anyone know when they stopped making these.
