I drove my new car the other day only a short trip on trade plates (won't get until 1st March) but to be honest I didn't really pay much attention to anything apart from the fact it seemed to have a nuclear bomb under the bonnet.

So a few questions to those that know.

1. Does the DCT blip on down shifts (my e92 M3 did) so I presume the M5 does.
2. Multi function M seats, do they have the inflatable side bolsters?
3. Is the HUD default to "on"
4. What are the best overall settings you find for the car (I know I had my favourites on the M3) so I wonder if people have settled on theirs.

3. yes, there are options to change what it displays.
4. I have M1 setup as - comfort steering, manual gearbox, shift speed 3, dampers in sport and engine in sport+ and M2 - everything the same except dampers in sport+.

I feared that answer to number 2 ref the bolsters, not good as my comfort seats in last F10 I had did, same in the M3s e46 and e92 and even in my F31 335d, pity as I like them.

Apologies for some reason I thought you mean't the active ones (a la E60)

Multifunction seats do have adjustable bolsters.
