It's being reported that 3 years after beating the Typhoon bid on price, contract negotiations have revealed that Rafale will actually cost more then Typhoon. The true cost, which apparently wasn't properly stated in the bid, looks like it may be a deal breaker

Unfortunately it doesn't mean they fall back on the next competing bid i.e. Typhoon - falling budgets means they may settle for domestically built Su-30s

Defence project in escalating costs shock!

What chance that the Typhoon costs would have done the same?

Inevitable, they didn't price in the cost of the beaded seat covers and model of Ganesh in every cockpit.

I'd read that link with the knowledge that it is Russia Today. They'll be strongly pushing a story of French ineptitude leading to India deciding to keep building some stty old Russian tech.
