We use Adrian Flux for all our vehicles modified and stock with unrestricted mileage.

Mike, have you tried doing a search under "insurance" on this forum as this was discussed last year. Also try the CCCUK site.

Try AON Insurance, the number escapes me but the STD is 01483 I think. They do one policy for multiple cars and I got a quote for the C4 and it was cheaper with them on it's own (without adding any other cars) than it was with Adrian Flux.

Try Admiral/Elephant online for a quick idea. Depends alot on the mileage and you NCB you have.

Give privilege a go. Each year when I renew i try AON flux etc etc and they all end up being more expensive

I'm with Sureterm Direct - no problems so far. They have been very efficient and quoted me based upon undercutting the best price I had had before I called them - which is nice!

They are on 0870 2020230

We used to use Adrian Flux as well until December - when the renewal came through

Looks to me like A/Flux has lost sight of the beacon of reality!!!!

We are now back with Stevenage for aroun half the price with an unlimited mileage policy instead of a 7.5k policy.

OH YEAH, it has also taken nearly a month to get proof of NCB out of A/Flux, despite quoting all that Gold crap on the phone.

I cancelled the C4 policy with AF about 2 weeks ago and the Proof of NCB arrived next day! You must just have been unlucky I guess.

I'm watching this thread closely... my ZR-1 and Caddy insurance are both up at the end of Jan... Currently £578 for the ZR1, and £365 for the Cadillac, both on 7.5K annual miles... (both insured with MC Edwards)...

Any saving I can make will be most useful!

Be careful with Flux - this year they sneakily put international breakdown cover into my premium. No need for it, didn't ask for it, but stupidly just paid it. I will be looking around when my Vette is next ready for the road.

Did get an okay premium on my import MX5 though, again with Flux.

So, swings and roundabouts really!

I'm with Adrian Flux paid around £1050 which was £500 under What tesco wanted as a Renewal,
I'm happy with that as only 23.

I'm with Flux too. When I changed from my C3 (around £175 p.a.) to my C5 the premium went up to about £450, but it was still best by a long way. 5k limited miles though...

Right,

I've just phoned MCE (who I'm with already) and they quote me £599 for 1 year, 7.5K miles on my '91 ZR1. MCE quoted me £578 for last year, which I took (as at the time that was the cheapest...)

Phoning around again, I think I'll go with Stevenage Insurance, quoting me £388 for 7.5K miles. Oh, and I've picked up 3 more points since last year's renewal

So, Stevenage (who I was with 4 years ago, and then left for MCE) seem to be back in the business of decent premiums...

[all this on 1991 ZR1, no mods, locked garage overnight, 7.5K fully comp, social, dom, pleasure & to-from work every now& then]

I just phoned up Stevenage and they just quoted me pretty well for my Z06. They did say that I'd need to get a tracker fitted, though.

How much is it reasonable to pay for a Tracker and what's the annual subscription?
