Form following function?! Isn't that the rule of F1 aero?

That's more like it.

Can you imagine a grid full of things like this under the lights at somewhere like Singapore? It'd be a fantastic visual spectacle.

Touch of the current Indycar about the wheel protection.

That looks great, and it shows up just how ugly modern F1 cars have become. Surely they could implement some changes, like much bigger diameter wheels in funky designs, for next season?

Can we also have the ear-splitting, screaming noise back too, please?

They are looking at changing wheel diameters to match road car sizes, and Lotus tested some fairly recently.

However, this is F1, which in addition to being the self-styled "pinnacle of motorsport" is also the pinnacle of self interest, so chances of all the consents needed for change being obtained are slim.

And please, can people stop bhing about the noise?

How does the driver swivel his head?

Looks like a pile of arty nonsense to me.

That integrated helmet design reminds me of a Cylon raider in the recent Battle Star Galactica series.

If they built this, Newey would build something much simpler, nicer looking and faster.
Having the helmet as part of the car also just makes the concept look like a Latvian supercar's design intention press release...

That is awesome.

As someone else said - drop in a V10 or V12 & F1 will be back to how it should be.

What's missing is a Hot Wheels track with loop da loop.

Hang on a minute its supposed to F1. What's supposed to be F1?....
