Increase exhaust noise

Any ideas on how to increase the noise on a EUV CSR 175?
The application of the EUV regulation in mainland Europe has literally squeezed the noise from the exhaust/silencer.

My car is due for factory build in a few weeks and I'm wondering what other exhaust options I have. I was thinking of changing the silencer to a more "open" type and putting the original exhaust back when the car will need to go through technical inspection.

Does anyone have experience with this? What type of silencer could I fit to have a more "manly" sound?

I'm sure you could fit a UK type exhaust relatively easily, but you would be wise to check the mapping is still OK. If that needs changed then you might have issues unlocking the ECU.
