Ok, a fun hypothetical, coz I like fun hypotheticals biggrin

You can have as many watches as you want, but you can only choose from one brand / manufacturer.

Who do you choose?

Me? Seiko yes

I can't think of any other brand (or in Seiko's case, manufacturer) that offers the same scale of diversity and with the same heritage.

For me it has to be one of the big 4. With the fact that it does watches for each occasion it would have to be JLC for me.

Reverso for work, diver for the weekend etc.

If I had to spend my own money then Seiko is a great shout. If not maybe then I would look at Rolex ( can I have Tudor as its the same family?! smile )

Omega, great range and not rip off prices vs the mega high end stuff.

Omega just work.

For the purposes of the game, you're spending your own money.

Actually, I'd forgotten that JLC does divers too, but nah, I'm still going with Seiko.

I'd probably go Rolex. Kind of going that way anyway. If I had unlimited funds I could go wild lol.

Other than that possibly Omega or Zenith.

I assume we are allowed vintage and it's not just restricted to current pieces?

IWC

Aquatimer - Diver
3777 Pilot Chrono or one of the Ingenieur - Sports watch / Casual
Portofino - Dress watch
3714 Portuguese - Suit Watch and Work watch
5004 Big Pilot - Just cos I love it

Plus they do some interesting Torbillons and complications if I fancied splashing the cash.

All bases covered

Both Sinn and Damasko are in with a shout though neither do a smarter "dress" watch that I'm 100% with, I've recently been impressed with my pair of Stowas and Seiko are up there. Could pick Longines as well.

Hmmm. Going to go with Seiko, ask me tomorrow and I might choose Stowa.

Edit to add that this is where I'd be heading considering my budget, Lord only knows what I'd chose should the £ be irrelevant.

It'd have to be Rolex or IWC...

Or AP.....

I'm struggling to think of a proper 'dress' watch that Rolex do? On a par with the Portuguese range from IWC.

Has to be Rolex.

Over-hyped, overpriced, but they've got a model for every occasion. Probably several actually.
