Are they accurate?

I know they have plenty of comedy elements to them (most of which is easy to spot) but is the information he is giving out accurate on the whole?

Either way, great shows!

I caught one he did a couple of weeks ago on Beethoven and a number of the things he said in a comedy way backed up things I knew/had heard before - so I guess they are accurate AFAIK.

Found the Emily Pankhust one the other night intriguing, I thought I knew the story of the Suffragettes pretty well from my general literary ramblings, but the depth on offer from Mr Steel was impressive. Comedy bits amusing but don't take away too much from the subject matter....

Got to laugh, Pankhurst was accused of being 'too left wing' for wanting the vote for all women. Amusingly the accusation came from none other than Lenin himself don't times change eh...

I've watched about 4 of these and they represent some of the most interesting and entertaining telly I've seen for ages. The guy is a lecturer as well as a comedian and, afaik, based in fact.

The DeVinci one was my favourite.

Great stuff.
