Thought I would fire up the old turntable today but some thing no worky.

Power supply / speed controller maybe fubared.

It has a very heavy bronze platter and was spinning so fast it was literally bouncing.

Can anybody recommend someone who repairs these old beauties in Surrey area ?

Thanks in advance

I guess it will depend on the make of the TT, but Infidelity in Hampton Wick have a good reputation.

don't these have an external supply and controller?

have a hunt round on Vinyl engine website if anyone is going to know anything it will be on there.

You may be able to source an alternative, pumiko project, even Linn

Hidden Systems in Hartley Wintney (I know it's Hampshire but that's near Surrey) managed to fix the power supply on my old Linn Axis - www.hiddensystems.co.uk

As a superior doesn't it have a DC motor ? Is the power supply just one of those standard converters? If so a few £ at Maplin would swap it.
Visit http://www.vinylengine.com
They have an Ariston /Linn section and copies of manuals etc.
