Had the seat recall done yesterday and they did a quick check over the car which highlighted some wheel re-alignment necessary. Any recommendations in the Southwest before I book it in at £243eek

This ought to be done at regular intervals as it makes a MASSIVE difference to the handling and tyre wear
Get a proper 4 wheel geo done by some one like this

I think I paid £110 inc VAT for a full realignment last time but not at Aston

Let me know if you find any this neck of the woods. I just paid £30 for my 535 Beemer to have its rear toe tweaked after a FULL Hunter readout (they charge only for work needed). So quotes of £250 are excessive even if the Aston has a few more covers.

I was pleased to see when I popped in yesterday that H R Owen Reading had installed a Hunter machine. They don't know how to use it yet though!

I had geo. set on my DB9 at Porsche Centre Exeter ( Wayne Blackhall is the man to speak to ). They have a brand new set up there.

Really excellent. Tel No. 01392-822800.

I stopped using Grange. Don't ask me why !

For not much more money, you can have the full geometry and corner weighing factory setup at AM Grange. I had it done at the end of last year, and its epic! Worth treating yourself wink

I had my Vantage serviced plus the recall work at Harwoods last week. They did a nice job but quoted £243 for the alignment. I need four new tyres plus alignment so will take it to my local DCM branch in Sturminster Newton where they also have the new Hunter Hawkeye 4-wheel alignment kit and know how to use it, which costs £38. http://www.dcmtyres.co.uk/wheel-alignment-dorset.h...

Exactly the same approach as a local alignment specialist for my (performance) Beemer ARP. Free Hunter check and then cost to tweak dependent on how long and how much fettling needed.

To drop £250 for what might be just a front toe tweak and under an hours work on what remains pretty standard road car suspension...?
