Brake warning light...
Discussion
has decided to stay on...sort of!
I'm finding that when I let the handbrake off, the warning light goes off..and then goes back on when I actually take my hand off the lever! If I ever so slightly lift the handle again, the light goes out.
I assume that there is a contact fault with a micro-switch somewhere, but has anyone else had this? Is it a simple fix, or do I go back to the good folks at Fernies?
Thanks in advance to the PH Collective.

Very easy.
Look at the lever, and pull out the leather cover by the edges.
Underneath you will see a flimsy looking but solid peice of bent metal, move it around to the position it should be at to make contact with the lever, thats it.
No fancy microswitches here, just two pieces of metal...
The leather cover can get in the way sometimes, you can use half a small curve of a coke bottle and slip it in to prevent the leather cover from pushing the metal plate around.
No tools needed.

If you lift the cloth around the handbrake (it's just tucked under) you will see the switch on the left hand side. It's probably just come loose. Mine did the same!
Oh I see.....take all the glory!
A very BIG thank you to Satman for showing me this extreme technical fix
