Long time lurker here, so although this is my first post I'm not a new boy as such.

I'm 30 now and as a teenager I lost a tooth at the front in an accident. I got a bridge fitted in my early 20s and although my teeth aren't Christian Horner bad and I'm not in pain, my teeth could definitely do with some professional attention.
I've recently moved to Angel, London so I'd like to know of a good dentist in the central London area for an implant.

There seems to be a huge variance in price hence the confusion! Some places want £2500, others want £1200, if you search for 'London implant dentist' there's too many results to search through and the fantastic reviews that are on the websites could easily be bogus, so I'm looking for real life recommendations so to speak? I accept this is going to cost me a good few thousand pounds so I'd like to find somewhere that'll offer me good value..

You want a good dentist in London? Pay for it. If you want the work done cheaper go abroad. Cheap is the last thing I'd look for in a dentist. HTH

Good value and cheap are two different things, I did not mention cheap. I did mention that I'd like actual recommendations - thanks sjc!

Sticks.

Not London I'm afraid, but not too far, and happy to recommend. Worth noting that this chap did the implant, and passed it to my dentist to make up the crown and fit it. Whether that's the norm or the only way, I don't know. Just over £2k, almost entirely without discomfort.

I can give you a personal recommendation - but again, it's not London.

Great Missenden - or thereabouts - 40 minutes from Marylebone. I had 2 implants done, top teeth - one of the two front ones, and the one next to it. Not one thing I was unhappy about - but it wasn't cheap.

It hurt like hell for about 30 minutes once the injections wore off after the main procedure, but several Nurofen sorted that out, and it was plain sailing from that point.
