What do you all think of my little play with some carbon fibre vinyl tape on my 996T headlights ?

Not for me either (I have a 996t). On a darker colour may improve looks, but for me keep stock.

I think it looks ok, not trying too hard to get away from the 996 'sad eyes' like others I've seen but still individual and it's easily removed when you want to go back to stock.

It does look better in the flesh IMO, here is another better photo.
As has been said, I can always remove it if I wish, but for now I will leave it as is.

cheers

I think it looks dreadful.
But it's your car - do whatever makes you happy.

It's ok. I've always found the turbo/facelift lights somewhat challenging. I think techart used to do a bespoke 'mask' set very similar to what you have produced.

Careful, adhesives and plastics might be challenging in the future. I also believe there is some form of protective coating on the headlamps that is not all that permanent and perhaps just perhaps I'd be wary about any adhesive possibly softening it. Just a theory but something to think about.
