Hello,

I am on the hunt for a 1965 Griffith 200 passenger side brake caliper backing plate. I've heard they may be TR4 or Healey, but don't appears to be. Can anyone identify the origin of my backing plate. It is made of cast aluminum with steel inserts where the brake caliper bolts are located. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not seen ones like that before..
Mine are re-drilled TR6. I think they all are re-drilled TR4 - TR6

I believe that they are unique to TVR. I had to replace mine due to damage and was unable to source replacements. I had new ones CNC machined by Peter at Mass Racing. Did a lovely job too.

Thank you for the info. I figured that they may have been unique to TVR...I was lucky enough to locate one to replace my broken unit. Good contract info for the future though...thank you.

They do look exactly like mine from my Griff 200. I assumed that they were manufactured by or for TVR. Neil

They may well be and thus Rare. as stated before Mine are Re-drilled TR6….But then again I don't have a griff 200.
They wouldn't be too hard to mill if required.
