My 1997 SL320 has not been used for a few months and the battery went down but NOT completely flat. Its NOT been jump started, battery was NOT disconnected,it just had enough in it to start the engine.
Everything works except the roof and the roll bar with both switches glowing red all the time when driving.
This has happened twice in the last ten years and each time my local Merc` workshop had to reset ECU`s and things? costing £150 each time.
Before I pay them a visit is there any "tricks" or what ever, you 129 buffs know of,that I can do myself to bring it all back to life??

Its a "quirk" in the electrics caused by volt drop?(something like that).

I went to see these guys, all he did was plug in his lap top, clear fault codes and re-set the ECU.Did it in 15mins and did not give me an invoice!! Mercedes charged me £150 last time.
Very impressed with Silchester,so if any of you guys have old SL`s or Pagoda`s they are the people to see, well worth a trip.
