Anybody got any issues with Sky at the moment? Was sat watching it no problem, next thing box is just reporting no signal at all. Checked all connections and dish. All seems okay, weather has been very calm so nothing like high winds that would have moved the dish. But the box simply says it has no signal.

Anybody else suffering the same?

No, but it sometimes happens with the weaker channels when it's raining hard.

If it's not that, just switch off your Sky box for a minute and then let it reboot for another 2-3 minutes.

It always seems to sort out any problems I have with it.

Yeah, my internet stops working for 30-60secs at least once an hour for no reason that I can see.

And the HD box locks up at least every 2 days for no reason, meaning a turn off at the wall and reboot.

A box reboot could work, or if not, the other thing that it might be is the LNB on the dish.

Do you have any other TV's that are using the dish for freesat? That would eliminate the LNB.

Tried rebooting the box, left it unplugged over night, still nothing this morning. And only the one box running off the dish, single feed LNB.

Unfortunately it is fairly typical behaviour for a failing Psu within the sky box. But as you only have it running on a single feed it is harder to do any proof tests.

Have you got the box set in single feed mode?

This could be an issue if you haven't and you have recordings running or set up.

And a failing hard drive, how old is the box?
Do you leave it on instant rewind on so the hard drive is constantly recording?

Mine did this more and more, in the end I bought a 2tb drive for £50 and sorted it.

Switched it on again last night and it back. Very strange.

And its just the standard sky box, not even sky+ so a fair few years old now.

PSU failing then.

Just buy an HD+ box off eBay for peanuts.
